Threlkeld is 2 miles along the road and is a delightful village, boasting three pubs, one of which is across the road so a hearty, home cooked meal is always available. Just 3 miles away, the Threlkeld Quarry & Mining Museum is a great day out, with tours taking you on an underground railway. Tackling the Skiddaw and Blencathra ranges are not for the faint hearted and the mountain trials at Whinlatter Forest Park will delight the mountain bikers amongst you. For a spot of retail therapy head to Keswick (6 miles), where there is a great choice of independent shops, cafes, pubs and restaurants all on the banks of Derwentwater. Enter this tri level barn conversion from the main door into the spacious, open plan living space. The heart of the house, there is ample space for everyone to gather at the end of a busy day. Relax on the two sofas with a glass of wine in hand and a film on the TV, as your pup snoozes at your feet. There is a dining table and chairs to seat up to six people, perfect for sociable mealtime gatherings. The kitchen is equipped with an electric oven and hob, fridge, freezer, dishwasher, microwave and washer/dryer. Completing this floor is the shower room. From this floor stairways lead to both the first floor and the lower ground floor. There is a double bedroom, a twin bedroom and a bathroom with a shower over the bath on the lower ground floor. There is also a hallway that leads onto the large patio area with table and chairs. On the first floor there is a spacious, double bedroom. Outside there is a patio area with outdoor seating, and a further BBQ and picnic area that is shared with the adjoining two cottages.
