Home to an abundance of wildlife including ospreys and cormorants, Bassenthwaite Lake is a wonderful spot for walking, cycling and picnicking. After a busy day, return to the local pub in Bassenthwaite for a bite to eat or sample a local tipple at the Lakes Distillery, just 3 miles away. Inside, this cottage is charming and traditional, with exposed beams, antique furniture and lots of homely touches.
