2 bedrooms: 1 king size, 1 twin (can be made up as a super king size if requested at time of booking). 1 bathroom with bath and walk in shower, 1 WC. Dishwasher, microwave, fan oven and induction hob. Utility room with washer/dryer. Wood burner initial supply of logs and firelighter provided. Additional logs and kindling can be bought from the owner. TV, DVD player. Wi Fi included. Enclosed garden with seating. Off road parking for 2 cars in front of a garage, plus space to park on the road. There is an external 13 amp socket which can be used for car charging, payment to be made directly to the owner for this. Regret no pets. Table tennis in garage. Shop within 6 miles, pub 1 mile. Although infants are welcome, neither of the bedrooms are large enough for a travel cot and no cots or highchairs are provided a Moses basket or similar will fit.

Whilst enjoying the sights and the tranquillity, keep your eyes peeled for osprey. Make the 6 mile trip to Mirehouse and Gardens, where you can follow the Rhododendron Walk and visit the lakeside church of St Bega. If there are any keen golfers on your party, Cockermouth Golf Club is less than 2 miles from your door and has a lovely green. Step inside the entrance hall which leads to a handful of useful rooms: a drying room for coats and boots, a laundry with washer/dryer, and a WC. Head up to the first floor and reach the bright kitchen, which has a quirky sloping ceiling, dishwasher, microwave, fan oven and induction hob. Once you ve cooked, move to the dining table in the light, airy dining room to enjoy the stunning panoramic views. The table shares its space with the lounge, where there is a wood burner to keep the chills at bay and comfortable sofas and chairs arranged around a TV with DVD player. If you don t fancy a night in front of the screen, enjoy the board games or delve into a book. The two bedrooms are also on this floor. One is a king size, the other a twin that can be made up as a super king size on request. The bedrooms share the family bathroom, where you can soak in the bath or freshen up in the walk in shower. If you need entertaining and there are competitive guests among you, head to the games room in the garage, complete with a table tennis table for a fun filled, family friendly night in. Sit on the benches in the enclosed garden with a drink in hand while you wait your turn. There is off road parking for two cars in front of a garage. There is also space next to the gates for other cars to park on the road..
