From the doorstep, there is plenty to offer the casual walker, whilst also keeping the more serious hiker fully entertained. 5 miles away is the village of Ambleside, right at the top of Lake Windermere, where you will find a variety of different activities such as taking a boat tour on the lake, hiring a kayak or paddle boat and enjoying the amazing views from the lakeside. Keswick and Windermere are within 12 miles and offer a range of outdoor activities and a varied selection of shops, restaurants and supermarkets.
