Continue on to Long Meg and her Daughters and make it a loop by adding in a visit to the village of Little Salkeld, the route is 4.5 miles long and great for a gentle walk. A 12.5 mile journey will take you to the northern tip of Ullswater, a beautiful body of water where you can make a splash and hire boats or enjoy a leisurely cruise on an Ullswater Steamer. Make your way inside this quaint, single storey home and begin your escape to the Lake District. Guests have access to a private section of the beautiful River Eden, a quarter of a mile s walk from the front door you might recognise this section of river from the BBC's 'Gone Fishing Christmas Special' (2021) with Bob Mortimer and Paul Whitehouse.
