Other coastal attractions include the Roman era Milefortlet 21, the Lake District Coast Aquarium and the Senhouse Roman Museum (all within 12 miles). Travelling inland, you can visit the historic town of Cockermouth (5.5 miles) before entering the Lake District, with the Lakes Distillery and the Lake District Wildlife Park both near Bassenthwaite Lake (11.5 miles).
