This great location is perfect for walkers as you can easily explore the Black Mountains, Elan Valley and Shropshire Hills all offering outstanding scenery no matter what the season. There are many traditional Herefordshire villages and market towns to visit, including Hay on Wye (10 miles), famous for its book shops and festivals, and Hereford (10.5 miles) with its cathedral, Mappa Mundi and Chained Library. There are many National Trust properties nearby too, including The Weir Gardens, Croft Castle and Berrington Hall to name a few. A variety of festivals run throughout the year such as The Three Choirs, Ludlow Food Festival and Bishops Castle Folk festival. The cottage benefits from mature hedgerows and an enclosed garden to the front. Step inside the traditional front door into the entrance lobby, a perfect place for walking boots and coats. There is also a cloakroom with WC and a washer/dryer. From here you will enter the kitchen/diner, finished with shaker style units and solid wooden worktops. It is well equipped with an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge/ freezer and dishwasher. For dining, there is a table and chairs for four guests. The room has been cleverly divided with original beams and offers a cosy space where you can hide away with a good book.
