Take the coastal paths to nearby Seahouses (2 miles) and catch a boat trip to the Farne Islands. Walk to Bamburgh (5 miles) for the beautiful castle and beach, drive to Holy Island (19 miles) and visit Alnwick Castle and Gardens. To access the property, head straight into the stylish kitchen where you have everything you need to prepare your meals, including an electric oven and hob, a fridge, freezer, microwave, dishwasher, a washer/dryer and a useful breakfast bar where you can enjoy a coffee. Take the narrow staircase up to the second floor for the observatory room furnished with easy chairs and binoculars so you can take full advantage of the stunning views of the bay with Dunstanburgh Castle beyond. This is the perfect place to retreat with a drink and a book too. Outside, the sheltered, low walled garden is great for children and has a picnic style table and seating perfect for al fresco dining.
