The pretty seaside village of Croyde (6 miles) is renowned as the mecca for surfing and it offers a plethora of pubs, takeaways, and craft shops. Walking enthusiasts are spoiled for choice here with coastal or rural strolls on the doorstep or you can venture out to Exmoor National Park (9 miles). The town of Lynton (22 miles) is connected to Lynmouth via a funicular railway which is the steepest water powered Victorian railway in the world.
