The larger village of Hawkshead is only a short drive away (4 miles) and has several National Trust properties, including the historic Grammar School, where William Wordsworth was once a pupil. The village also offers a choice of pubs, cafes, and some lovely shops. Walking into the living area, you will instantly feel comfortable. The lounge offers a perfect spot to chill and relax after a day out, with the two seater sofa and two armchairs ideally positioned for you to settle down after a day of exploring in front of the Smart TV and wood burner (first basket of logs provided). The kitchen/diner has all you need to rustle up a meal with an electric oven and hob, microwave, dishwasher, coffee machine, and fridge/freezer along with an oak dining table and chairs. Head on up to the first floor and you are in the spacious master bedroom with a balcony that has stunning views over the lake. There is a double bed and an en suite bathroom with a bath, handheld shower and WC. The second bedroom offers a double bed or can made into a twin with its own balcony plus another en suite shower room with a shower and a WC.
