The market town of Thirsk, 2 miles away, includes The World of James Herriot visitor attraction and makes for a great day out. Thirsk racecourse holds regular events and a nearby golf club is bound to entice any putting fans. Centrally located for exploring the Yorkshire Dales and the North Yorkshire Moors or even a trip to the Yorkshire Coast. Within 25 miles is the historic walled city of York with its magnificent gothic Minster, Railway Museum, and the famous tea rooms for afternoon tea. Take the steps into the property and you will discover the boot room just ahead, a handy location for wet coats, and muddy boots, with a washing machine, freezer and you will also find a handy downstairs WC. The spacious kitchen diner is the hub of this home from home with a dining table at its heart and complete with an Aga (winter months use only).
