The annual Mountain Festival which features outstanding sporting events, speakers and live music. This is the perfect base to get out and about and explore the Northern Lakes, with Derwentwater less than a mile away and Bassenthwaite 4 miles distant. There is a great selection of fells and Wainwrights to tackle in the local area. Whinlatter Forest with its fantastic bike tracks and walks is less than 5 miles away. Or why not walk down to the Theatre by the Lake (1 mile) and enjoy a talk or film? There is also an open top bus which you can hop on and off and enjoy a day tour around the Lakes at leisure. There are four steps up to the attractive terrace. As you enter the property you will find yourself in the lobby at the bottom of the staircase. To your right, you will find the spacious, bright and contemporary open plan lounge/kitchen/dining area with dual views to the front and rear garden. The second bedroom is a tranquil king size with a Smart TV and a stunning coloured glass mirror hanging proudly on the wall. At the rear of the property, accessed from the kitchen, you will find the elevated garden with lawn and seating. This is accessed via ladder style steps which may require supervision for younger children; there is also access from the parking area via a gate with no steps. The garden is a real suntrap and is a great place to relax with a coffee in the morning and listen to the birds..
