Head 4 miles into Coldstream for shops, pubs, and tea rooms, before taking a riverside stroll with a picnic or trying some trout fishing (day permit required). The market town of Kelso is 8 miles away, known for horse racing, golf courses and Kelso Abbey. Families will love Heatherslaw Light Railway, the castles at Ford and Etal, Chain Bridge Honey Farm, and the Hirsel Estate, all within 10 miles of the cottage. Walkers can join the Pennine Way National Trail (9 miles), or venture 17 miles to enjoy the stunning coastline or even visit Lindisfarne castle on Holy Island (22 miles). On entering this beautiful home, follow the hallway through to the kitchen/diner, the kitchen is perfectly equipped to cook up feasts and enjoy a family meal together around the table.
