Padstow is a quaint fishing village just 7 miles away, while popular Newquay, famed for its five excellent beaches, is within 10 miles. Visit the Birds of Prey Centre, which is less a mile away, and for more exciting attractions, the Lappa Valley Steam Railway, the Oasis Fun Pool, the Eden Project and Cornwall Crealy Adventure Park are all within 10 miles. More local towns and villages include Port Isaac (the picturesque town portrayed in TV s Doc Martin), the surfing mecca of Polzeath, and the magnificent cathedral city of Truro are all within 20 miles.
