Venturing further afield, there is the nearby town of Margate (2.5 miles) with the recently restored family attraction, Dreamland, as well as the Turner Contemporary Gallery, while the historic city of Canterbury, known for great shopping and Canterbury Cathedral, is 18 miles away. For keen walkers and cyclists, the Viking Trail runs along the edge of Stone Bay stretching from Ramsgate to Reculver, making this the perfect base for couples and families looking to escape it all.
