Steps lead down from here to the rear entrance. Enclosed area with a washing line. At the front of the villa a level area of lawn is provided with bench, garden table and chairs. Gates on each side of the garden on this level provide shared access across the row of four cottages, very rarely used. The enclosed garden slopes down over two terraces that are bordered by shrubs and a gate at the end of the lower lawn gives access to the lane that leads down to the estuary and quayside.
