Set in six acres of grounds, including wild meadows and a small lake (coarse fishing allowed), guests are free to wander and enjoy the abundance of wildlife that is encouraged by the welcoming owner.

One of three holiday properties on this site, The Lodge is located in the grounds of a 17th century former manor house at Monkton Wyld, just north of the A35 on the Dorset/Devon border. The pretty West Dorset seaside town of Lyme Regis is about 3.5 miles to the south and the attractive East Devon market town of Axminster, home to Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall's popular River Cottage shop and restaurant, is about 4.5 miles to the west. Walkers will be drawn to this wonderful location with a wealth of walking countryside, including quiet laneways to Charmouth Woods and the Marshwood Vale right on the doorstep, and access to the beautiful South West Coastal footpath only a few miles away. Those preferring to explore the area by car will find themselves well placed to easily access the many attractions of East Devon, West Dorset and South Somerset.
