Set in six acres in a beautiful sheltered valley this ancient farmstead is now a small group of charming cottages that hug the side of a gentle slope extending down to the tidal creek of Goodshelter. Here you can wander through the apple orchard to the 800 ft private foreshore, row one of the dinghies provided round to South Pool to the pub (tides permitting!), barbecue by the old lime kiln and enjoy the peaceful views.

Description
The cottages are alongside a courtyard shared with the owner's home and provide very comfortable, well-furnished and flexible accommodation.
Apple Tree Cottage is welcoming, bright with vibrant colours and enjoys its own pretty garden. Windfalls is an ideal spot for two and with its level access is also suitable for disabled and wheelchair users. Between the two cottages and attached to Windfalls, although entirely separate, is The Love Shack. This little nest can be let with either of the other cottages but not on its own.
There is a shared laundry room. Two dinghies with oars provided for use at own risk. A Wayfarer sailing dinghy is also available, by arrangement with the owner.
Apple Tree Cottage:
Apple Tree Cottage is a most attractive detached cottage with all rooms enjoying views across the orchard to the creek beyond.
Accommodation: Ground floor living room, open fire, satellite TV/video, CD player and dining table. French doors to terrace. Snug with piano, patio doors to garden. Kitchen, electric hob, double oven, microwave, larder fridge, freezer and dishwasher. Cloakroom. First floor bedroom 1, king size bed and en suite bathroom with shower over bath. Bedroom 2, single bed. Bedroom 3, twin single beds. Bathroom, shower over bath.
Outside: Private enclosed garden with picnic table.
The Love Shack:
Windfalls or Apple Tree Cottage can be let combined with The Love Shack at an extra cost and availability permitting.
Accommodation: Spiral stairs up to first floor bedroom with king size bed. Ground floor shower room.

Here you can wander through the apple orchard to the 800 ft private foreshore, row one of the dinghies provided round to South Pool to the pub (tides permitting!), barbecue by the old lime kiln on the foreshore and revel in the views of this dreamy stretch of water. The tiny hamlet of Goodshelter is on the edge of the Kingsbridge/ Salcombe estuary just a mile from East Portlemouth, the lovely beaches of Millbay and Sunny Cove and from there, a ferry ride to the popular town of Salcombe. The cottages are alongside a courtyard shared with the owner's home, overlook an orchard that slopes down to the Creek and provide very comfortable, well furnished and flexible accommodation.A Wayfarer sailing dinghy is available for use by the experienced as well as a couple of rowing dinghies, but entirely at guests' risk, (ask for details).. Between the two cottages and attached to Windfalls, although entirely separate, is what in family parlance has become known as The Love Shack! This little nest can be let with either of the other cottages but not on its own. This delightful set of cottages can be a haven for couples, a great spot for families or indeed a wonderful place for a large family celebration, all in the most idyllic position. There is a shared laundry room accessed from the courtyard with chest freezer, washing machine, tumble dryer and ironing board. The gravelled courtyard in front of the cottages is enclosed with a five bar gate and provides ample parking. From here a pathway leads through the orchard to the creek.

Front door into bright, attractive living room with floor rugs, sofa, chairs, telephone, satellite TV/video, stereo CD/tape player, open fireplace, lots of books and dining table to seat 6. French doors open to a paved terrace overlooking the orchard. Glazed doors to a snug with a piano, books and lovely aspect through large patio doors to a paved terrace and garden. The fitted limed oak kitchen has a hatch to the living room, is well equipped with electric hob, built-in double oven, microwave, dishwasher, integrated larder fridge and separate freezer. There is a downstairs cloakroom with basin and WC and a walk-in larder. Carpeted stairs to landing. Lovely double bedroom suite with a lobby area and large hanging cupboard, a 5ft double bed under a pitched pine ceiling and creek views. The en-suite bathroom is prettily tiled and has bath, shower over, basin and WC. Small single bedroom with vanity unit and fitted cupboards. Twin room (3ft beds) and fitted cupboard. Bathroom with bath, shower over, basin and WC.
Outside:
The cottage enjoys a private, level garden, with a picnic table and paved terrace that extends around the side of the cottage.with barbecue.

From the courtyard, door into tiled hallway with a wrought iron spiral staircase to the bedroom under a pitched ceiling with a 5ft double bed, large sofa, a desk and hanging wardrobe. The shower room is off the hallway with shower, basin and WC.

- Included: Bed linen, towels, (guests must provide their own beach towels), WiFi, travel cot, high chair, basket of logs (for Apple Tree), heating (night storage) and electricity.

Please Note: At spring high tides (which occur throughout the year) and for one hour either side of high water, it may be difficult crossing the fords on the tidal road that accesses the property. Tide Tables will be forwarded to guests with their travel directions.
