Steddaford Cottage is a welcoming and comfortable 17th century character cottage, quietly tucked away yet just a stone’s throw from the centre of the village. The reverse level accommodation benefits from a spacious open plan living space with woodburning stove, high ceilings and exposed beams and downstairs there are two spacious bedrooms and a large family bathroom.
Conveniently located on the edge of the Dartmoor National Park is the charming village of Sticklepath, perhaps best known for the annual Sticklepath Fire Show but also boasts a popular tea room, village stores and two dog friendly pubs both of which serve good food. In addition, the village is also home to the National Trust’s Finch Foundry with its fascinating 19th century water-powered forge. Just 4 miles away lies the popular market town of Okehampton with a good selection cafes, restaurants, supermarkets and shops.
With the famous Tarka Trail offering miles of footpaths and cycle paths on the doorstep and the A30 just 2 miles distant giving easy access, this cottage is perfectly situated to make the most of exploring the surrounding area and indeed the whole of the West Country. Steddaford Cottage offers the perfect retreat for a holiday, whatever the time of year.
