The ground floor features a well equipped kitchen with all the necessary appliances you need to go about your day, as well as a dining table for those early morning refreshments. Beyond this, discover the cosy sitting room, a lovely place to settle down in front of the TV, away from the hustle and bustle. Three bedrooms are divided between the first and second floor, with a series of art inspired styles on offer, leaving you spoilt for choice of where to rest each day that goes by. The family bathroom is an excellent addition to the cottage, comprising a bath with an overhead shower. Once you have relaxed indoors amidst the lovely furnishings, you may wish to explore the village. If it’s local culinary delights you are searching for, you could start your day at “Nelly’s” with a hearty full English Breakfast. While the “Merchant’s Yard” caters for fine wines and finer dining. If you are on foot, you have excellent walking with rugged peaks to the north, gentle hills to the south and Millers Dale just outside the village. Neighbouring Litton offers a perfect excuse for a 15 minute stroll up the hill, through farmland and pastures, you are rewarded with the “Red Lion” Public House to quench your thirst. By car Mam Tor and Castleton are only a few miles away, with the Spa Town of Buxton and the Duke and Duchess of Devonshire’s Chatsworth House being within 15 minutes drive. Famous for the fine church dedicated to St John the Baptist, “The Cathedral of the Peak” sits just behind this property and is well worth a visit. With well dressings, carnival wakes, a destination for all to enjoy.

Best known for its fine church dedicated to St John the Baptist sometimes referred to as 'The Cathedral of the Peaks', the village also boasts a tradition of well dressing and various carnival wakes. The surrounding area offers walkers and cyclists a variety of routes, with rugged peaks to the north and gentle hills and dales to the south. The popular Millers Dale is located just outside the village. Mam Tor and Castleton are just a short drive away whilst the popular spa town of Buxton is also within easy reach.
