Description
With onsite facilities including tennis courts, children's outdoor play area, Jacuzzi and an indoor splash pool (seasonal opening hours). The living area is open plan with a well-equipped kitchen, dining area and sitting area, and there are two bedrooms and a family bathroom. Outside the living area, through double doors, is a sun terrace which leads onto a large communal lawned area. Set on the north side but just a short stroll from the centre of the village, this spot seems to retain an additional air of tranquillity, being beautifully planted, with seasonal plants, flower and shrubs. A 15 minute walk along the local lanes you will arrive at Swanpool. Here you will find a sandy, protected and vibrant cove. Just as convenient is the slightly quieter cove at Maenporth, again the perfect spot in which to spend a day on the beach but close enough to pop to for a couple of hours for an invigorating swim. North Helford and Falmouth are perhaps the quintessential Cornish visitor destinations; a mix of beach, creek and woodland serve some of our most interesting and historic villages and towns. Falmouth itself is home to the National Maritime Museum, where visitors will enjoy an amble through the narrow streets and possibly a boat trip across the River Fal or up the Truro River. Chy Lowena is a perfect base to explore Pendra Loweth and the surrounding area of Cornwall.
Falmouth, with its magnificent natural harbour (the third largest in the world), winding streets and beaches, will keep you occupied for hours. The town's old harbourside pubs, excellent shopping, art gallery and stunning National Maritime Museum simply complete the picture. Pendennis Castle, built by Henry VIII, is Falmouth's most popular attraction, sited on its own peninsula with superb panoramic sea views. Across from Falmouth harbour is the beautiful town of St Mawes, surrounded by the rocky coves, sandy beaches and lush green countryside of the Roseland Peninsula. Go there by car (15 miles) or take the passenger ferry from Falmouth (15 minutes).
