Description

Designed with couples in mind, this cosy one bedroom retreat is homely and inviting, comprising an open-plan living area where you can relax endlessly throughout the day. Whether you are dishing up meals in the modern kitchen, or settling down on the comfy sofas, Old End Cottage is a pleasant place to unwind and return to at the end of each adventure. A drop leaf dining table rests nearby, the ideal spot to sit with a warm cup of tea in the morning, or, if entertaining is more your style, extend the table to join your loved ones in the evening. From here you can also access the garden should you wish to stroll outside for some fresh air. Upstairs, a lovely king-size bedroom promises a good night's sleep, a neutral arrangement with period chest of drawers and bedside tables. There is also a balcony joined to the room, a little suntrap to be enjoyed as the sunrises and sets. Lastly, a family bathroom finishes the property, designed in a modern fashion with a shower over the bath. In its heyday of the 18th century, the town was a fashionable social centre and many fine Georgian buildings remain from this period. Today the town still has much to offer in terms of restaurants and inns and is regarded as something of a haven for antique lovers and “foodies”. For those who prefer more outdoor pursuits, Dovedale and the Peak district National Park, the Derbyshire Dales, and the Tissington Trail will ensure a memorable holiday for two.
