Description
This attractive self-catering property will make you feel right at home as soon as you step into the open plan lounge/dining room. Decorated to a high standard, the living area has a cosy wall-mounted fireplace, smart TV and doors that lead out to the terrace. From the terrace, the view stretches from Hope Cove to Thurlestone, towards Plymouth and Cornwall. Dine al fresco from the terrace. Inside, a charming kitchen is equipped with an electric cooker/double oven, fridge/freezer, washing machine, dryer, dishwasher and microwave available. Door leads out to a side terrace with a drying line. The master bedroom hosts beautiful views, a King-size bed, and en suite shower room with ‘Aqualisa’ power shower and w.c. The twin bedroom has two single beds, fitted wardrobe and units and a separate wash-hand basin. Bedroom three has a comfortable King-size bed with lovely views to wake up to. Finally, a fourth bedroom has a bunk-bed and chest of drawers, perfect for kids. As well as the en suite shower room, there is a family bathroom with bath and shower (over). A separate w.c., and basin in a separate cloakroom in the hallway. In addition to the terrace areas, there is a sloping lawn with pretty flower beds, divided by steps leading down to the bottom of the garden.
The picturesque fishing village of Hope Cove lies in a sheltered bay on South Devon’s coastline, offering superb views over Bigbury Bay and Burgh Island. A choice destination for families, two beaches offer soft sand for sandcastle building, plus rock pools great for entertaining children. The town remains a fishing village where crabs and lobsters are still landed, however it was once used by smugglers. Many ships have perished around the coast and the wrecks that lie beneath the waves make it a popular spot for divers. Above the beach there are a number of pubs and restaurants, including the popular café bar ‘The Cove’. The coastal footpath can be joined from here and leads towards the sandy beaches of Thurlestone and Bigbury-on-Sea in one direction, and the sailing town of Salcombe in the other.
