Description

A flight of stairs leads up to the accommodation and into the bright and airy kitchen dining room with fitted handmade units under wooden worksurfaces, a separate utility area and with a large wooden dining table and benches to seat six comfortably. The spacious lounge with large bay window has two comfortable sofas and a TV with Netflix and DVD player. There are two bedrooms, both located on the top floor. Bedroom one is furnished with a King-size bed, bedsides and a built-in wardrobe. Bedroom two has a double bed with a door opening onto a small inset balcony with views across the rooftops towards the river. The family bathroom has a bath with shower over and there is a separate cloakroom on the lower floor. Leading from the spacious second floor landing is a sun room with French doors leading out onto the decked balcony with frameless glass balustrades and some views over the roof tops to the river. An annual parking permit for one car is provided for the Mayors Avenue public car park (subject to available spaces). One or two small/medium dogs accepted.

Dartmouth lies on the banks of the beautiful River Dart in the popular and picturesque South Hams area of South Devon. Located within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and close to the stunning Start Bay coastline, Dartmouth is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Devon. It offers a stunning waterfront, ancient narrow streets lined with boutique shops, restaurants and art galleries plus many popular events such as the annual Dart Music Festival, Dartmouth Food Festival and the Port of Dartmouth Royal Regatta. This historic town boasts interesting landmarks, such as Dartmouth Castle, the Britannia Royal Naval College, and the National Trust’s Greenway House just a short ferry ride away. There are many interesting cycling and walking routes around Dartmouth, including the South West Coast Path, the Dart Valley Trail and plenty of quiet country lanes. A trip on the Dartmouth Steam Railway through the rolling countryside to Paignton is a must, and so is a boat or ferry trip across to Kingswear, on to Brixham, or down the river to the village of Dittisham. For those seeking sandy beaches, there is a wide choice in the South Hams area such as Blackpool Sands and Slapton Sands, both extremely popular beaches just a stone's throw from Dartmouth.
