Description
Bodlawen is a lovely end of terrace cottage is located between Corwen (12 miles) and Betws y Coed (10 miles) Inside, the property has been renovated into a contemporary holiday home. Step in the door, kick off your shoes and walk into the spacious living room with a large L-shaped sofa, big enough to sit five people, a small sofa and the new hardwood flooring. The cottage retains its wealth of character with the large stone chimney breast which houses a woodburning stove, perfect for settling down at night with the family and watching a movie on the TV. The wonderfully appointed kitchen has many white modern cabinets and units with black granite worktops and to add a splash of colours, the walls have been painted in a lovely purple shade, giving the room its charm. The dining area has seating for up to eight people and has an attractive black brick wall, which compliments the white furnishings. Upstairs, there are five bedrooms: one king-size, two double and two single, ideally chosen to accommodate both families and a group of friends. All bedrooms have been individually styled, with a simple but light decor, giving the rooms a welcoming feel. Not only this, but they have plenty of storage space, including a wardrobe and a set of drawers. One of the bedrooms also offers a desk, ideal for anyone needing a work space. There is a separate modern bathroom with a large bath and shower over, as well as a ground floor WC. Outside has a garden area with a picnic bench available. Off-road parking is available for three cars. The area offers numerous outdoor activities such as fabulous walks and hikes across the diverse landscapes within the National Park, cycling at Llyn Brenig, and fabulous watersports at Llyn Tegid in Bala where you can go fishing and horse riding. Alternatively, take the historic train ride to the summit and marvel at the panoramic views. You are also close to white knuckle experiences at the Llechwedd Slate Caverns of Blaenau Ffestiniog. Bodlawen is the place to be for those who enjoy the secluded countryside.
