A short walk takes guests into the lovely old town centre with a large cobbled town square surrounded by shops, pubs, cafés, tearooms and restaurants. There are weekly markets as well as a monthly farmers market held in the market square and a wonderful media centre in the converted old station containing a cinema, art gallery and tea rooms. Richmond is also well known for its fascinating Norman castle, where walks along the castle walls and down to the River Swale can be enjoyed. Nearby you will find popular towns and villages such as Reeth, Middleham and Hawes among the stunning local countryside, providing glorious places to head to for a refreshing drink and bite to eat after an enjoyable walk.
