Description
Tegfan holiday cottage has been lovingly restored and renovated. It offers a relaxing holiday environment right in the heart of the pretty coastal village of Moelfre, on the east coast of Anglesey. The sitting/dining room has comfortable seating, a TV, DVD player and a selection of DVDs, books and games. There is a dining table and chairs. The well equipped kitchen has an electric oven and hob, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, washing machine, microwave and toaster. There is a breakfast bar and door opening onto the rear garden. There are three bedrooms. Two bedrooms, a double and twin, are on the ground floor. There is a ground floor bathroom with bath with shower over, loo, wash hand basin and heated towel rail. Stairs from the dining area lead to a further double bedroom. The front and rear garden have a lawn and shrubs. There is parking for one car. This quaint little fishing village does have some narrow lanes and as a result parking can be a little challenging. Moelfre is a charming village, with a local pub, cafe and shop, as well as the Seawatch Centre, a small museum and shop with the interesting maritime history of the area. The small sheltered shingle bay is just a short walk from the cottage where you can enjoy homemade ice cream or explore the area's spectacular scenery by using the coastal path and the network of other footpaths available.
Situated on the beautiful east coast of Anglesey, Moelfre is a delightful seaside village, boasting little cottages, a picturesque port, a beach, fine views of Snowdonia, a working lifeboat, and two quality pubs/restaurants. Visit the hugely popular local Seawatch Centre, enjoy fishing or watching sea birds, seals and even dolphins, or discover wonderful cliff-top walks with stunning mountain views. The village has many historic links, the most recent being the site of the tragic Royal Charter shipwreck in 1859. There are stunning sandy beaches nearby, at Benllech and Lligwy, and the lovely Red Wharf Bay, with its miles of open sands and birdlife. A perfect location for travelling around this lovely island and throughout beautiful Snowdonia.
