Continue on through into the dining room, providing ample seating for all to gather reflect on the day’s activities over a delicious home-cooked meal. The first floor is occupied by a double and single bedroom, served by the sparkling family bathroom with walk-in shower. Continue up to the second floor to find another double and single bedroom, with the double benefitting from far-reaching views towards the abbey. Step out to the back where you will discover a small patio with furniture, perfect if you fancy sitting out with a refreshing drink. Due to the central location of the property, you are only a 5-minute walk from Whitby’s town centre and a range of amenities. A slightly further walk of 10 minutes will take you to Whitby’s sandy beach, where you can enjoy a paddle in the sea or a sunbathing session. Take a tour of the Gothic ruins if you’re brave enough, or discover the history behind the Abbey, said to have been the home of the first known English poet and an inspiration for Bram Stoker’s famous novel ‘Dracula’. Nearby, the remarkable landscapes of the North York Moors border is a haven for any outdoor enthusiast, as well as offering plenty of walking and cycling opportunities.
