Bernstein is a luxury self catering cottage with 5* Visit England accreditation and Gold Award. One of 4 luxury properties at Scremerston, just a couple of miles from Berwick upon Tweed. All properties are named after composers and are the epitome of style and luxury with leather sofas, and a state of the art kitchen. Accommodation is all on one level and comes complete with a play paddock for kids which is shared with the other three properties… perfect for families with young children. But it’s not all about the family, Bernstein encompasses the style and luxury we’ve come to expect from a holiday home so the adults amongst you can relax with a coffee or a glass of fizz and just enjoy this peace and tranquility which surrounds. Nearby Berwick is an interesting market town on the Scottish border, the town walls date back to 1558 and were built to keep the invading Scots at bay. Today they provide spectacular views over the wide estuary of the River Tweed including Stephenson's famous viaduct bridge. Within the walls there’s plenty to explore with shops and cafes and the Berwick Barracks and Main Guard Museum.
