Internally, the property has a real character feel to it, boasting Victorian features such as high ceilings, sash windows and an original (now ornamental) fireplace in the master bedroom. On the first floor is a light and comfortable sitting room where you can sit and relax with family and friends, take advantage of entertainment choices on the Smart TV or enjoy one of the DVD’s, books or games provided. The dining area, with extendable table, offers a pleasantly elevated position affording a unique view of the charming thatched pubs, tea-rooms and cottages for which the Old Village is so well known; perfect for a family meal or relaxing ‘people watch’ over a cup of coffee! The fully equipped kitchen provides a selection of appliances for your convenience if you want to kick-back and relax with a home-cooked meal. On the second floor are two bedrooms, including a king-size double and a twin, along with a contemporary bathroom with a bath and shower over to suit both adults and children alike. If you prefer to eat out, there is a great choice of restaurants and pubs on the doorstep, or a pleasant stroll away is Shanklin’s esplanade which boasts a choice of eateries overlooking the sea. There is a variety of coastal and countryside walks from the front door or further afield, cycle hire available on Shanklin esplanade and kayak and pedalo hire available on Shanklin’s sandy beach, making this apartment perfect for any outdoor enthusiast. If you prefer to leave your car at home, the apartment is a short bus ride or 15-20 minute walk from Shanklin Train station which connects to the mainland via Ryde Pier Head (WightLink FastCat to Portsmouth Harbour).
