The small village of Clearwell is peacefully tucked into the valley, though small the village has a bustling community and is well served offering three village inns and restaurants. Surrounded by countryside with well waymarked paths that will guide you through some breath taking scenery no matter what the time of year. Both the Forest of Dean and Wye valley are steeped in history with many medieval and market towns to explore, Ross on Wye, Monmouth, Tintern and Hay on Wye. And for a little more adventure outdoors there is canoeing and rock climbing at Symonds Yat, Mountain biking for all abilities throughout the Forest of Dean and for serious walking the Black Mountains just across the border. Cross over the mill stream to the front door of this Grade II listed cottage, the small porch is just great to leave those muddy boots behind. Step on into the lounge/kitchen/diner simply brimming with character which has been cleverly mixed with its own eclectic style, the simple touches and vibrant colours will take your breath away. The lounge area is welcoming with comfy sofas that are complemented with cushions and throws, and the wood burner is perfect for a chilly autumn evening. The bespoke kitchen is well equipped with electric oven and hob, microwave and fridge. And for a simple supper there is a table for two within the open plan area. A useful utility area with a washing machine is situated just off the kitchen. When the day is done climb the stairs to the mezzanine bedroom within the eaves, this simple and spacious room is light and airy with a double bed and a further day bed well placed close to the open bannister overlooking the lounge just perfect to escape and enjoy a chapter of a good book, there is an en suite shower room with WC. Enjoy a breakfast within the small private gravelled courtyard, there is bicycle storage and parking for 2 cars. Need to know: SLEEPS: There is one bedroom with a double bed and additional day bed. Bed linen is provided for your stay. RELAXING: Electric and Wi Fi is included for your stay. COOKING & DINING: There is an electrical oven and hob, microwave and fridge with ice compartment. The utility room houses a washing machine. KEEPING CLEAN: There is one en suite shower room with WC on the mezzanine floor. Towels are provided for your stay. OUTSIDE: Outside there is a pretty courtyard garden with outdoor seating, and an idyllic stream. There is ample off road parking available. PETS: Two dogs are welcome at this property.
