Description
Robin Hood s Bay is a quaint village well known to long distance walkers because it s at the western end of Alfred Wainwright s famous walking route, the Coast to Coast Walk. With a delightful selection of pubs and small shops you will have everything you need for a relaxing break close to your retreat. The fishing industry has prevailed in Robin Hood s Bay and there is a fishmonger s in the village where you can buy freshly landed seafood. In the wider area, make sure you take a day trip to Whitby. The ruins of the 13th century St Hilda s Abbey on East Cliff dominate views across the River Esk and is a stunning spot for a photograph. Whitby also has excellent literary associations through the works of Lewis Carroll and Bram Stoker, namely Dracula. Stepping through the front door of this gorgeous single level barn conversion, you feel at home immediately. First of all, you will encounter the lovely kitchen which comes compete with a retro style fridge, electric oven and gas hob, and a dishwasher.
