- Trefrane House is next door to, but completely separate from Trefrane Lodge, Property Ref 1120 with its own separate entrance, parking and gardens set in 9 acres of land.
- Queen Victoria's favourite coal was once mined at Trefrane - there are no visible signs today but reputedly the miners could hear the sea crashing above them as they worked the seam which stretched far out under the waves.
- Roch 1.8 miles away has a general store/Post Office/off licence/bakery. More extensive shopping can be done in the county town of Haverfordwest 8 miles away. Amenities include banks, post office, library with internet access, chemist, supermarkets, doctors, vet and filling stations. A Farmer's Market is held beside the river on every other Friday - excellent local produce.
