Description
An elegant and spacious Georgian house with estuary views, visited by Dylan Thomas, located in the centre of Llansteffan village within walking distance of beach, shop, pubs and restaurants.
A truly unique property, this handsome Georgian house was painstakingly restored to exacting standards. Dylan Thomas was a frequent visitor. He had his hair cut here! David Lloyd George is rumoured to have used the house for illicit liaisons with a lady friend.
- This handsome Georgian house sits at the very heart of Llanseffan. Large and imposing the formal exterior gives way to the light, airy and comfortable house that lies within.
- Enter and you are greeted by a wide and welcoming hallway and a handsome staircase. To the right lies a spacious snug complete with log burner. To the left a formal dining room, ideal for celebrations.
- The wide original stairway leads down to an enormous kitchen/dining area with a separate utility area and modern shower room. This practical space is designed to make your holiday stress free.
- The handcrafted kitchen is well equipped and a convivial space adjoining the dining area, making it easy for the cook or cooks to mingle with the rest of the party.
- Off the kitchen is the light-filled dining area with a mezzanine sitting room above. The generous farmhouse table can easily seat 8. The garden beyond the bifold doors will certainly be a firm favourite with children and adults alike. There are estuary views from here. An outdoor south-facing dining space and patio complete the family-friendly space.
- On the first floor are 2 generous double bedrooms, a twin room, a charming fourth bedroom with bunk beds as well as an enormous bathroom. All the bedrooms are sensitively decorated and furnished to enhance the historic feel of this proud house.
- Surprise touches such as original modern artworks bring the house gently into the 21st Century. The views to the rear are all dominated by the stunning shoreline of Llanseffan Beach and its cluster of village houses.
