Lying 2 miles from Crewkerne and 7 miles from Yeovil, the cottage is in a rural area with local apple orchards and miles of country walks through fields and lanes. Passing under the characterful thatched roof, you enter into a hallway, with an area to dry the dog, hang wet coats to dry and sit to change from your walking boots into your slippers. The well-equipped kitchen with shaker-style cream units and real wood worktops, houses everything you need for a short break, including quality white goods and a Dolce Gusto coffee maker. Cooks will find the range of equipment and crockery especially attractive. Pleasantly furnished throughout, 2 Rose Cottages provides a delightful holiday base for a family or two couples. The cottage has a fully enclosed garden, an enjoyable local park and well-maintained playground at the end of a small lane. Families and walkers will find lots to explore and enjoy here. The comfortable sitting room is warm and welcoming with art materials, games, books, maps and local information to help with plans for the next adventure, maybe a trip to the nearby National Trust owned Montacute or 17th century Barrington Court or the Fleet Air Museum. The oak dining table offers ample seating for mealtimes for 6 people but can be folded to intimately sit 2 for cosier meals.
