Description

Situated on a small farm and opposite the village’s old wash pool, the cottage is a traditional Cotswolds’ building where many of the period features have been carefully retained. On the ground floor is an open plan kitchen diner which leads to a light, yet cosy living room (with doors to the terrace also). Upstairs are two bedrooms and two ensuite bathrooms making it ideal for two couples as we all as families. Outside is a private courtyard style garden, surrounded by a large/high stone wall and a hot tub and table and chairs. There is ample parking for up to 3 cars. The cottage is specifically in the hamlet of Upper Milton, which is about ½ mile from Milton Under Wychwood. There are miles and miles of walks from your front door, along with popular places such as Burford, Bourton on the Water and Stow on the Wold, plus Chipping Norton (all of which have excellent facilities, shops etc) all within a max 10 -15 min drive. Within walking distance in the village of Milton is one of the Cotswolds’ best pubs The Hare, along with a small coffee shop and also convenience store Co-Op.

Milton-Under-Wychwood is a village and civil parish in West Oxfordshire. The village has one pub called The Hare which is a gastropub. Wychwood public library is located in a converted shop. Local attractions are Foxholes Nature Reserve, Wychwood Wild Garden park and for those interested in outdoor activities The Wychwood Golf Club, all within a few miles of the village. For the art enthusiasts look to Tosley Museum housed in the early Tudor market building, famous for its doll’s houses and large photographic collections. Also nearby is the St Nicholas Church, which is the resting place of the designer of the Forth Rail Bridge, Sir Benjamin Baker. Little has survived of the Norman church except its ornate north doorway. Milton-Under-Wychwood is 4 miles north of Burford and 7 miles south of Chipping Norton.
