With private driveway parking and sleeping arrangements for six, this property is ideal for a family or small group looking to explore Yorkshire, within easy reach of the city of York. Entering Prospect House, you will discover the sitting room, with a leather sofa and armchair to relax into, a TV with Freeview and DVD Player providing hours of entertainment while the heat from the woodburning stove fills the room with warmth and adds to the cosy feel, plus a set of patio doors which can be opened up onto a gravelled pathway, which leads round to the front garden. The spacious kitchen/diner has seating for six, perfect for gathering together to enjoy a delicious home-cooked meal and making plans for the remainder of your stay, while the kitchen has all of the amenities you could wish for, including a dishwasher to take care of any washing up requirements, and you can even enjoy the background noise of the TV with Freeview as you prep your meals, while the utility room houses a washing machine, for added convenience. The ground-floor family bathroom has a shower over bath, giving you the option of how you would prefer to start the day and meaning a queue for the bathroom in the morning far less likely. There is a conservatory with lots of seating, where you can grab a quiet moment and enjoy a good book, while the patio door again leads out onto the lawn. Ellerton village has a pub and a microbrewery, as well as the charming duck pond opposite the property, which is great for an afternoon stroll or sitting on a bench and watching the world go by. Nearby Bubwith is an ancient town, referenced in the Domesday Book, which has a wider selection of shops, including a butchers, convenience store, post office and restaurant, while the River Derwent flows close by and offers lovely riverside walking opportunities. The town of Selby is close to the River Ouse and is home to Selby Abbey, a medieval 11th century building that remains one of the few surviving church buildings with both Norman and Gothic styles, Grade II listed landmark The Market Cross, which dates back to 1775, an indoor adventure centre where you can rock climb, skate and ski and the lovely park and gardens of Selby Park.
