Head up the plush, carpeted staircase where a double bedroom awaits, accompanied by a bathroom finished with clean white fixtures and a heated towel rail. The twin beds live in the eaves of the attic room where natural light seeps in through the roof. To the exterior, follow the shared passageway to find a utility housing a washer/dryer and bike storage. Walk along the path and up a set of steps to the patio, where you can laze around on a sunny afternoon, or read a book quietly in the sun room. A lovely spot of down time is just what you need after an adventure in the Peak District. Excellent walking with rugged peaks lie just north of this delightful town, with gentle hills and open valleys resting south. Mam tor offers a circular walk with dramatic scenery, whilst Castleton provides a lovely afternoon exploring Peveril Castle and Peak Cavern. This fabulous region is well worth a visit, with this lovely cottage as a base.
Tideswell is a village in the heart of the Peak District National Park.
