This idyllic location provides total peace and tranquillity, not too far from Thirsk or Ripon. You are spoilt for choice of National Parks, sandwiched between The North York Moors and The Yorkshire Dales. There are many country walks, with a vast choice of routes, both long and short. From soft rolling hills or steep craggy fells, there is something for all walking levels. Thirsk has a bustling market twice a week and a monthly livestock market. If a cosy country pub is more your scene, the choice is endless! This cottage is a short drive from two glorious National Trust sites, Newby Hall and Fountains Abbeys, an ancient abbey ruin with gardens and deer park. The coast is an easy day trip away, from the charming seaside town of Filey, north up through to Whitby, Sandsend and the delightful Runswick Bay. Inside this period, detached former coach house is crammed with character and tastefully furnished with all your home comforts. Enter into the cottage hallway with plenty of room for coats and boots, head through to the lounge offering a warming wood burner and cosy sofas, an ideal place to snuggle up and relax after a long day exploring. The kitchen/diner is well equipped and has everything you will need to make afternoon tea to Christmas dinner with an electric oven and induction hob, dishwasher, fridge/freezer and microwave. The table extends to seat four should you have company. Relax by watching a film on the TV/DVD or listen to your music. Off the lounge is a separate WC. Head up the staircase into the beautifully appointed bedroom, boasting a king size bed, space to store you clothes and a lovely en suite bathroom, with wood panelled walls, bath and separate shower room. The perfect place to unwind and rest after a lovely day outdoors. Outside is a small patio area where you can sit on warm balmy evenings and enjoy the peace with a glass of wine.
