Description

Spread over three floors, this stylish home has plenty of space for a large gathering. The heart of the home is the spacious open plan sitting, dining and kitchen area with floor to ceiling picture windows and bi-fold doors that open to the patio, allow the light to flood in. Here you can bring the outside-in and enjoy the tranquil countryside, which is a haven for wildlife, including a herd of Roe deer that can be often seen grazing nearby. The beautifully presented space includes two sitting areas, so you can spread out and do different things - perhaps enjoy the views and chat, and the other to relax in front of the TV. The large dining table is a wonderful sociable space. The contemporary, hi-spec kitchen is thoroughly well equipped and a joy to use. Across the hallway is the formal sitting room with comfortable sofas, armchairs, large screen TV and patio doors to the garden. To the side is a cosy snug and reading area which is a little haven in which to relax with a good book or the weekend papers. Head outside and enjoy the terraced, lawned garden, and wrap around large patio terrace, with outdoor furniture and a bubbling hot tub from which to enjoy the tranquil views. Cleabarrow Cottage offers a choice of six bedrooms, each beautifully presented and all with en-suite facilities, TVs and bathrobes. All the bedrooms can be presented as with either a super king-size bed or twin beds (please specify your choice when booking). The first of the six bedrooms is on the ground floor and complemented by a superb en-suite shower room with walk in shower. On the first floor, choose from three welcoming bedrooms; the first with a large corner window benefiting from the beautiful views and including an en-suite shower room, the second with a balcony and en-suite bathroom with feature bath and the third with superb views and luxurious en-suite with feature bath. The final two bedrooms are located on the second floor; the first is a spacious bedroom suite with en-suite bathroom with feature bath and the final bedroom is a lovely suite set in the eaves with en-suite bathroom with a feature bath. Only 2 miles from Bowness to the east of Lake Windermere, this Lake District country house is perfectly placed for peace and convenience. Just across the road from Windermere Golf Club, 2 miles from shops and restaurants in Bowness, and the same distance from the glorious lake shores and boating attractions of Lake Windermere. The surrounding countryside is bliss for walking, straight from your door, and scattered with acclaimed Lake District pub restaurants, such as the Punchbowl at Crosthwaite, and the Masons Arms, Strawberry Bank, the Black Labrador at Underbarrow - all within a very short drive. Other popular Lake District villages and viewpoints are easily accessible from the A roads at Bowness, which lead to Windermere village then Troutbeck, then on to Ambleside, Rydal Water and Grasmere. Alternatively, follow the road south from Bowness to peaceful Lakeside and arty Ulverston. The Bowness car-ferry also provides access to 'Beatrix Potter country' and the picture post card village of Hawkshead. All-in-all, this prime position at the heart of the Lakes ensures that your whole party will be entertained throughout their stay

The twin towns of Bowness and Windermere are both vibrant, fun-filled places set within the splendid scenery of the Lake District. Both towns provide a range of amenities, shops and restaurants to suit all tastes whilst Ambleside offers the additional attraction of a boat ride to Bowness, the Lakeside Aquarium and Beatrix Potter's 'Hill Top House' at Sawrey. Grizedale Forest Park is within easy driving distance and is home to a range of activities including many good walks, mountain biking and the 'Go Ape' adventure park. The region also boasts many National Trust properties as well as a variety of water sports for those who prefer a more adrenaline-fuelled trip. Children will enjoy a trip to the 'World of Beatrix Potter' in Bowness whilst the villages of Grasmere, Coniston Water, Kendal, Keswick and the Lakeland Mountains are all within easy reach.
