This retreat is nestled in a beautiful rural area close to Beecraigs Country Park. Just 2 miles from the ancient historical Royal Burgh of Linlithgow easily accessible by car, where you can visit the magnificent ruin of the great Royal Palace the birthplace of both James V and Mary Queen of Scots, this holiday home is set within beautiful parkland known as Peel beside Linlithgow Loch. Enjoy a canal boat trip through the town or head straight to The Falkirk Wheel. Visit the nearby Kelpies, Hopetoun House, Dalmeny House or House of the Binns. The town also boasts excellent leisure and shopping facilities and is within easy reach to the wonderful cities of Edinburgh, Stirling and vibrant city of Glasgow, making this all a fantastic base for your holiday. Entering the period, single storey, semi detached cottage (owner lives next door) from the pretty front garden, step into the light open plan lounge/kitchen/diner. The comfortable lounge area with wood burner, ideal for cosy nights in, is also the perfect place to relax and enjoy your favourite TV program or perhaps watch a movie on the DVD. The kitchen area is well equipped with electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer and dishwasher. Enjoy a romantic meal in the dining area, taking in the lovely countryside views over the garden. Step through to the bedroom with a king size zip and link bed (can be made into a twin on request) which has direct access out to the rear garden and spacious en suite bathroom, with bath, separate shower cubical and WC. Venturing outside there is a small front garden with seating area which catches the afternoon and evening sun meet the resident hens and enjoy the tranquillity of the countryside. To the rear, with direct access from the bedroom, there is a seating area perfect to enjoy the morning and afternoon sun and great for al fresco dining and lazy evening star gazing. There is ample off road parking available. Need to know: 1 bedroom king size zip and link (which can be made into a twin on request). 1 en suite bathroom with bath, separate shower and WC. Electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer and dishwasher. Travel cot available. Wood burner first basket of logs included. TV/DVD player in the lounge. Guests are welcome to help feed and collect the hens' eggs and in the summer months pick a punnet of blackcurrants or gooseberries in the garden. Front and rear garden with seating areas. Regret no dogs. Half mile farm track road leading up to property. Ample private off road parking available. Shops, pubs and restaurants 2 miles with easy reach by car.
