A stunning property situated on the hill above Matlock, Box Tree Cottage offers splendid views over the Derwent Valley. With its upmarket decor and a warm log burning stove, it provides the perfect hideaway in one of the most tranquil locations in the town. Concealed in the grounds of the 18th-century Wellfield House, it provides the perfect spot for a glass of wine on the patio whilst gazing across to the lofty limestone crag of High Tor towering in the distance. The cottage makes an ideal base for hikers, with many rambling routes available from the doorstep, whilst the town of Matlock offers numerous bars and restaurants to cater for a variety of tastes. With the famous Chatsworth House and Haddon Hall situated in the surrounding hills and steam trains and tramway museums close by, there is plenty to keep all ages entertained!
