Please note that Property Reference 896 and 897 will sleep 12 as one unit.
Located in the York Dales, the pretty Teesdale village of Staindrop has long been associated with the fortunes of nearby Raby Castle. Open to the public, this monument is one of the grandest in England. Modified and extended over the centuries, the heart of the castle is medieval, boasting a walled garden in addition to a 200-acre deer park. The pretty village of Staindrop itself has many diverse shops, pubs and cafes, all set around its long village green. The popular market town of Barnard Castle is only five miles away and is home to the Bowes Museum in addition to its renowned castle and a wide range of shops and tea-rooms.
