Description

Return to the snug feel of the sitting room, making yourself feel right at home as you allow yourself to sink into the leather sofa whilst browsing through the Smart TV. Cook up a feast in the fitted kitchen, appointed with a range of contemporary appliances within sleek white units, with the all-important washing machine in place so you don’t have to pack your whole wardrobe. When you begin to tire, whisk yourself off the first floor and find the well-presented bedrooms, comprising a double and a twin, served by a smart shower room from which you prepare for the day ahead. The town of Amlwch has a very long history, with the small harbour exporting copper in the 18th and 19th centuries from the largest mines in the world at the time. Walkers and cyclists will be in awe of this location; just a short minute walk away is the 125-mile coastal path that winds its way along the coast of Anglesey, opening up miles of cliff-top walks and secret coves and beaches, such as the sheltered cove at Traeth Dynion. On a glorious day, enjoy a round of golf Bull Bay Golf Club, just a short walk from the property, before heading to Amlwch to decide where to dine for the evening. If exploration takes you further afield then visit the Anglesey Sea Zoo, a unique aquarium with over 40 tanks of marine wildlife, or head to the town of Holyhead where you can catch a ferry to Dublin, perfect for a day out! Calmary makes an excellent base for exploring all this island has to offer.

Known as the most northerly town in Wales, Amlwch rests on the north east coast of Anglesey, and is a major draw for those interested in industrial heritage. A small town with a long history of working conditions, it offers visitors a good range of activities. Amlwch has a range of local bars, shops and hosts a local market every Friday. There are also golfing opportunities at the Bull Bay golf club, which is considered one of the toughest courses in Wales.
