Description
Set over four floors, you enter into the side porch where you can pop off your walking boots and waterproofs before continuing inside. The first of the two kitchens is found on the ground floor; here you can prepare tasty treats using the supplied essentials before heading into the living/dining room, which was once used as the shop floor, for a competitive evening of board games or a sociable catch-up in font of the TV. Make use of the handy heated boot room - perfect for securely storing bikes and kayaks and drying out equipment ready for the next day's adventure. Take the stairs to the basement, offering a unique aspect of the property; with its own bedroom, bathroom, kitchen and games room, this area can be used separately from the rest of the house. The three other bedrooms are all twins and rest on the first floor, with the two front bedrooms enjoying large bay windows where views of the craggy slate hills and distant mountains can be seen. A final set of stairs leads to a quiet sitting area built into the eaves of the roof, perfect for a private read, while there is also a refreshing bathroom with bath and separate walk-in shower. Begin each morning with a coffee in the courtyard before strolling the Highstreet in search of ingredients for a hearty breakfast. There is plenty to do in Blaenau Ffestiniog, from the walking and cycle trails to the steam railway line, and popular underground slate caverns, all within easy walking distance. Venture into the depths of the National Park, with Snowdon Peak just 7.5 miles away, to find ample opportunities for walking, cycling and horse riding, with an abundance of mountain peaks to tackle, well-worth the ramble for their rewarding views, while the Zip World Titan provides an exhilarating zip line experience at speeds of up to 70mph. A scenic drive away are the famous Coed-y-Brenin and Betws-y-Coed mountain bike trails. You are also within reach of Portmeirion, an attractive Italianate-style village boasting character and charm, as well as Colwyn Bay, offering a memorable day out by the coast.
