This semi-detached barn is situated on the owner's farmstead next to open Dartmoor, two miles from the heart of Lydford.

Entering on the first floor, Haretor Barn is perfectly laid out with a social open plan living space enjoying polished oak floors, vaulted ceilings, exceptionally high-quality furnishings and fabulous views of the Dartmoor national park. Oak open-tread stairs wind downstairs to a master bedroom, a lovely lofty room with rafters, walk in wardrobe and ensuite shower room. A further sumptuous bedroom and family bathroom completes the accommodation.

For those perhaps wanting to holiday with friends or family but retain privacy, an interconnecting door from the living space gives flexibility for the property to be booked alongside its neighbouring barn Foxtor Barn creating accommodation for up to 8 guests in total.

Outside, you have your own little area (enclosed by an approx.2 ½ ft wall/picket fence) directly outside the front door, and a further separate garden area (not enclosed) located across the driveway which offers uninterrupted views of the picturesque moorland. This area is furnished with two picnic benches and a built-in barbecue and is shared with Foxtor Barn.

Walks from the doorstep are just the icing on the cake, with directing you past lakes to open moorland for some utterly stunning scenery.

Lydford Gorge with its amazing ravine and waterfall is managed by the National Trust and is a must-see, as is Lydford’s ruined castle. With a cycle track, river for fishing and riding stables nearby, there are plenty of opportunities for outdoor activity, whatever the weather!

Tavistock, just 7.5 miles from the cottage, is one of the five Stannary towns of Dartmoor and offers plenty of amenities including cafes, shops, pubs, restaurants and supermarkets.
