A five minute walk past the village pond, complete with resident ducks and geese, brings you to the local pub and shop. There are many walking and cycling opportunities in the vicinity, along quiet country lanes and public footpaths, in this largely undiscovered corner of Yorkshire. You may wish to visit the many stately homes and gardens that pepper the surrounding district, including Burton Agnes Hall, Sledmere House and Wolds Way Lavender and Herb Farm. Children of all ages will be enthralled with a day at the seaside in Filey and Bridlington, with their long sandy beaches, elegant promenades, candy floss, sticks of rock and pitch and putt!
