Description
You enter the property into the sitting/dining room which has a beamed ceiling, a TV, dining seating to settle down for dinner, and sofas to gather around the stone-built feature fireplace with the roaring woodburning stove. Stepping through the property there is a well-equipped kitchen, with a handy washing machine, and completing the ground-floor is the shower room and the patio doors out to the multi-level garden, which has ideal furniture to savour an evening glass of wine and a catch up about the day. As you climb the staircase to the first floor, there are two nicely decorated bedrooms; one single and one double, where you can relax and unwind. Bodmin has narrow streets, shops, pubs and the fascinating museum and haunting presence of the old Bodmin Jail, as well as being close to joining the Camel Trail which is popular for cyclists and walkers to wind their way through the towns on its flat journey to the beautiful harbour town of Padstow. All within a short drive are the open spaces of the Bodmin Moor, Lanhydrock House, the small town of Fowey and Charlestown with its Tall Ships, The Eden Project and Lostwithiel. Further afield, you can enjoy the outstanding surf, rugged cliffs and hidden coves of the north coast beaches or the quieter sands and river estuaries of the south coast. To be at a great base for all Cornwall has to offer, choose Oakley Cottage.
