Description
The modern kitchen is well-equipped ideal for preparing tasty meals to be enjoyed at the dining table before sitting and relaxing in the spacious sitting room. The orangery is a light room with vaulted ceiling with delightful sea views, perfect for entertaining or a relaxed evening meal. There are four remarkable bedrooms, three twins and a king-size all boasting en-suite bathrooms. Located within a short distance of two glorious beaches, Greenaway and Daymer Bay. Greenaway beach is only accessible via foot, with its dramatic cliffs perfect for spotting dolphins and seals. Daymer Bay is popular for its rock pools, sandy beach and calm clear waters. A short 2.3 mile drive will take you to the popular seaside resort of Rock, enjoy lunch at one of the restaurants or pubs with stunning sea views or try your hand at water skiing, paddle boarding or sailing. Take the foot ferry across to Padstow where you can sample some locally caught seafood in one of the many excellent restaurants. Cycle or walk along the Camel trail which follows the old railway route from Padstow to Bodmin offer spectacular views of the Camel estuary and is home to many wildlife species. For a laid-back Cornish holiday, Tristan is the perfect place for family and friends.
Daymer Bay and the village of Trebetherick were both loved by Sir John Betjeman and are unquestionably special. With a huge appeal to both the young and not so young, Daymer Bay has recently been voted one of the best beaches in the world! St. Enodoc Church, once buried in the sand, is within comfortable walking distance of Daymer Bay and is the resting place of Sir John Betjeman. Daymer Bay holds great appeal for wind surfers with the waves rolling up the estuary. There is enormous fun too for small children with buckets and spades and fishing in the rock pools. Up from the coast path as it runs from Daymer Bay is Highcliffe, nestling between Polzeath and Trebetherick, both of which boast a number of pubs, restaurants and village stores all offering a wide variety of fresh quality produce. The properties at Highcliffe have the advantage of being within easy reach of Daymer, Polzeath and Greenaway - Greenaway being the name given to the clifftop area, beach and small cove with rock pools overlooking the Atlantic beyond that lies between Daymer and Polzeath.
