Description

Step inside the cottage to discover a delightful living/dining room with an open fire, perfect for warming up in front of after a brisk day of walking along the coast, with a TV to entertain too. A good-sized and well-equipped kitchen has everything you could need to keep the family well fed, while back in the other room, a rustic, timber dining table and chairs, with bench seating on one side, rests there for all to gather around when dinner is served. Upstairs, there is a well-proportioned double bedroom, with plenty of storage space, a room with a single bed and additional pull-out hideaway bed, as well as a tastefully decorated family bathroom to freshen up in. From your base in the centre of Port Isaac you can walk around the harbour and watch the boasts come and go, wander the narrow streets and look at the old buildings, or enjoy wonderful local produce in the pubs and restaurants. Hit the beach at Port Isaac or venture further to Polzeath and try a range of watersports including kayaking, surfing, and bodyboarding. Further afield, the town of Newquay is known for its excellent surfing spots, as well as being home to attractions like Newquay Zoo and the Blue Reef Aquarium, sure to be family favourites. Discover the quaint town of Padstow, another lovely fishing port, where you can enjoy a Padstow Sea Safari and hopefully catch sight of some of the local wildlife.
